Holistic Bodywork
Holistic Bodywork takes an interdisciplinary view of health and wellness.
Rooted in soft tissue treatments like Swedish and deep tissue massage, it combines treatments for other systems of the body [circulatory, lymphatic, emotional, cognitive, energetic, skeletal, neural, respiratory, fascial, nervous, etc.] to support a more optimal system-wide shift than traditional massage alone. Holistic bodyworkers are often trained in more than one health field, i.e. Massage, Reiki, Psychology, Psychiatry, Medicine, Personal Training, Chiropractic, Nutrition, Counseling, Yoga, Hypnosis, and Wellness Coaching.
Holistic Bodywork is excellent for a wide range of applications, including pain and stress reduction, headaches, recovery from accident, trauma, grief/loss, sports injury, major life transition, and specific treatment areas such as lower back, shoulder, knees, hips, and more.

Beyond traditional Swedish and deep tissue massage, our collective skill set also includes the following...
Auto Injury | Whiplash Treatment
Auto accidents often require a series of visits to treat the whole-body response to impact. We accept PIP and L&I insurance claims with a referral from your chiropractor or physician. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions regarding your auto or work injury case. We are happy to work with you to design a treatment plan to meet your individual needs.
CBD Massage
Adding a CBD treatment to your massage is a great way to boost relaxation and pain reduction. We use CHABA (Cannabis Health and Beauty Aids) - full-spectrum hemp topicals with less than 0.3% THC.
Intraoral Massage
Our therapists are board certified in this specialized technique of massaging inside the mouth. Many muscles are more accessible inside the mouth, making it possible to address issues such as TMJ disorder/pain, headaches, injuries, and pain associated with grinding or general jaw tension. Most people do well with 15-20 minutes of intraoral near the end of a massage session.
Cupping Massage
Cupping therapy originated in China and utilizes suction to pull skin up into cups placed on the body. This outward pressure creates a good balance with most other forms of bodywork, which apply inward pressure. Cupping may be effective in addressing chronic pain, inflammation, stress, muscle tension, scoliosis, and more.
Here at OHB, we use silicon cups for precision and safety. We do not use fire cupping methods or glass cups.

Zen Triggerpoint
Zen Triggerpoint utilizes the same principles as the Bodytherapy series, but in single sessions, focusing on areas determined by practitioner and client.
Reiki Energy Work
Reiki is an ancient Japanese form of energy work, translating to "spiritually guided life force energy". People report wide ranging miraculous results from this work, which focuses on the subtle body and can include light touch if the client wishes. An entire session can consist of Reiki, or it can be part of a massage/bodywork session.
Myotherapy Massage
Myotherapy is medical massage modality that uses gentle, deep-tissue massage to reduce dysfunctions, restrictions, and trigger points [knots] in the soft tissues of the body; great for injury treatment, relaxation, pain, circulation, post-workout soreness, postural alignment, and increased range-of-motion.
Integrative Bodywork
Integrative Bodywork combines Myotherapy Massage with energy work & guided awareness which offers an opportunity for the client to experience body|mind integration. Designed to address chronic pain sites as well as psychological and emotional imbalances. Can address chronic stress, poor focus, and fatigue. Also great for increasing awareness of breath, body, and thought. Wonderful for PTSD, (c)PTSD, dissociation, hypervigilance, and panic.
Holistic Alignment
Holistic Alignment is great for folks experiencing impacts from past events such as accidents, injuries, emotional, relational, and psychological traumas. Client is guided through an experience of focused intention setting and then into a deep guided awareness of both past and present parts of self. The practitioner acts as a facilitator and guide for the client who ultimately navigates their own internal experience in a meditative state of mind. Grounded touch coupled with mindfulness, compassion, total acceptance, and guided awareness invites a unique opportunity for healing and release.
